The waitress was very nice and helpful. She gave me the 411 on the events they have and all the fun things they have during summertime. The coffee was delicious which is always important. The donuts were amazing she gave us a sample. Definitely will go back to try other things on the menu and they have homemade pie

Great place for friendly service AND good food. Got a breakfast recommendation to Mary’s from a nurse and she was on point. Had an egg and sausage plate for one of us, and sloppy Joe sandwich for the other. Sandwiches come with soup AND choice of fries, potato salad or coleslaw. I got the cream of potato soup and it was delicious AND a generous portion. Don’t get it twisted, get yourself to Mary’s Morning Mixup! Edited to add: The cinnamon sugar homemade donut starter was so tasty. Ate it too quickly to snap a pic!

The foid is really good. A great choice of different flavors. From breakfast to sandwiches and more. It's a smaller restaurant so when it's busy you will be a bit crowded, but not bad. It was really busy when we went but we only waited about 15 minutes. The chicken fried steak was great. The service is always very good and attentive. When it's busy, expect it to be a bit loud, but when a few tables empty out, it quiets down a lot. We really like this place and visit quite often.

This charming restaurant is one of Chicago's gems and shouldn't be missed. The care that is poured into this cozy spot is evident from the decor, to the menus, to the marvelous food (get a dozen fresh-baked donut holes for the road). Finally, there's Mary herself -- a more charming host you'll never meet. 5 stars, highly recommend!

I loved the staff at Mary’s Morning Mixup. Welcoming, friendly, they believe in customer service. It is very bright a colorfully decorated. I didn’t love the food. I liked it. I did love the little donut holes but not fond of the container they come in…. Not exactly sure how clean it was. I actually need the tables, dishes, silverware to be a bit cleaner. Overall it is worth checking out.
